Hazel Clayton Harrison is the author of The Story of Christmas Tree Lane, a children’s book and Crossing the River Ohio, a memoir. Her book of poetry and prose, Down Freedom Road, was released by Shabda Press in 2020. Her works have been published in Not So Perfect Storm, Grandfathers, A Rock against the Wind, Coiled Serpent, the Altadena Poetry Review, When the Virus Came Calling and other journals. Harrison served as Poet Laureate (2018-2020) for the Altadena Library District. A member of the Pasadena Rose Poets ensemble, she is currently a Poet in Residence at the Pasadena Central Library.
