Maple Lam

Maple Lam is an author and illustrator. Some of her picture books include“DIM SUM, HERE WE COME!”, “MY LITTLE SISTER AND ME”, and “SHAKE MY SILLIES OUT” (written by Raffi). She is currently working on a young graphic novel series MONKEY KING AND THE WORLD OF MYTHS, with the first book coming up in Spring 2024. Maple was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Greater Los Angeles at age 11. She studied Studio Arts at University of California, Irvine and took night classes at Art Center College of Design. After working as a designer and art director at an event design firm for seven years, she transitioned to become a full time author-illustrator. Besides writing and drawing, Maple loves to read, especially on history and astrophysics. When she is not working, she loves playing competitive badminton, or chilling at local coffee houses. www.maplelam.com.
