Fanny Singer is a writer and founder of Permanent Collection, a design brand that makes heirloom quality objects for the kitchen and home. In March of 2020, her first book, Always Home: A Daughter’s Recipes and Stories, was published by Knopf. Her next book, devoted entirely to salad, will be published in 2025. She holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Cambridge and regularly contributes art reviews and culture writing to a wide range of publications. In 2015, she and her mother, Alice Waters, published My Pantry, which she also illustrated. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Matt, and daughter, Cecily. www.fannysinger.com.
